Current mood: accomplished

I just finished a commissioned doll for the fabulous </a></b></a>[info]ghot and promised her a photo-log of the creation process.  It's not always pretty, folks!  :P   She's posting a photo-journal on the portrait she's doing of my son.  Go take a look, it's as fab as she is!

She asked for a short-haired Remus--full kit.  *snicker*  I made him some travel pants for modesty's sake.

Here's what I call the larval stages.  I was making several dolls in a production line so I
laid them out so you could see the process... 1) Head/body  2) add eye-line  3) add nose,
hip line & buttocks  4) add chest sculpting

Next is adding skin.  The skin fabric is stretched over the bodyform to mark the seam,
then machine sewn for a tight fit.  The arms and legs are ready to be machine sewn as well.
Still looking a bit grub-like.  *g*

Skin's on, and arms and legs are ready to be stuffed and attached.  I put wire in
the arms to allow for some posing.

Everything attached!
Starting to look like something.  Maybe a zombie?  *smirk*
Haz belly button.

Eyes.  I love this part...

The Remus smile...
...coming to life.

Scars added.....

Getting ready for hair.  The hair is made from wrapped yarn machine sewn
in strips. Then it's hand sewn onto the head.  (ouch!)  I did this Remus' hair
in two lengths so he could have the longer fringe and top layers, over close-cropped
sides and nape.

Ok, here he is all finished because I completely dropped the ball on photos!
Not sure where my brain went but I had him all put together before I realized
I'd forgotten to stop for pics!  *grrrr*  Needless to say, a bit more work went on.
Naughty bits constructed, stuffed, and attached.  Chest  and pube hair glued on
or attached, as the case may be.  *g*  Head hair trimmed.  Kinda hunky, huh?

Hope you like him ghot, babe!  He'll be winging his way to you soon....

Oh, and Le derriere...
