Hola, flist! A 'fly by' post to self pimp that I have a window of time to squeeze in a few more costume commisions before Azkatraz. If you know anyone interested, feel free to point me out! *g* I do custom--whatever you want. (within reason, of course!)

I am currently in negotiations with someone else to make me a black hooded cloak (probably light wool flannel lined with cotton; I would likely provide the wool as my mother knows where to get just what I want), but it's possible that may fall through; and after this Friday I will know if I need someone to make me a uniform skirt (because I can't seem to find the damn thing for love nor money in dark grey; navy, khaki, and plaids only).

Not dark enough and the wrong kind of pleats (it should be two "kick pleats", or as my mother calls them, inverted box pleats). Might be suitable for the SS/CoS look I suppose (http://images.allmoviephoto.com/2002_Harry_Potter_and_the_Chamber_of_Secrets/harry_potter_and_the_chamber_of_secrets_008.jpg) but I'm going for the PoA+ look as much as possible. It's not that a gray pleated skirt can't be found, it's that they're usually knife-pleated or at least have multiple pleats, and usually the fabric is too light-coloured.

(Also I don't want to deal with Whimsic Alley as I had some poor dealings with them earlier this year.)
